Nico is a [ postdoctoral researcher ] in Information Visualization and Immersive Visual Analytics at the Department of Science and Technology (ITN) at Linköping University (LiU). He is a member of the [ iVis ] research group as part of the division for Media and Information Technology (MIT) on Campus Norrköping. He is currently exploring how immersive display and interaction technologies can be utilized to facilitate the investigation and understanding of urban climate data.

Nico obtained a [ Ph.D. ] in Computer and Information Science from Linnaeus University in Växjö, Sweden. His doctoral thesis is concerned with the investigation of supporting data interaction and Hybrid Asymmetric Collaboration using Virtual Reality within the context of spatio-temporal data analysis. Nico is an alumnus of the [ VRxAR Labs ] research group, and has also been associated with the [ ISOVIS ] research group during his doctoral studies at Linnaeus University.

Prior to his doctoral journey, Nico worked as a research assistant at the Department of Media Technology at Linnaeus University, where he also obtained a M.Sc. degree in [ Social Media and Web Technologies ]. He graduated with a B.Sc. degree in [ International Media and Computing ] from University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Economics (Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft) HTW Berlin, Germany.
